The photos used in the magazine were taken in the Lower East Side last winter. At the time, we were told the shoot was for the premier issue of Rolling Stone Japan. A year later the photos pop up in Honeyee Mag.
Oh yeah, most of these riders play polo.

A story about NYC bike polo. Also a short video.

Two bikes were stolen from our friends home in Williamsburg on Monday night, please keep a look out, and lock them if you see either one. If found contact Trackstar 212.982.2553.

Dans bike is a Redline Monocog 29er. Black mt. bike with 29″ tires, a 32×20t gear ratio, and it has a walrus sticker on the front. It looks just like this one.


Tamara’s bike is a Bianchi s.a.s.s. it is a silver single speed mt. bike with disc brakes, black animal grips, 1.5″ drifter tires on it, silver bianchi saddle and there is a sticker on the chain stay that says “your bike sucks”. it looks like this one.

CMWC Bike Polo Tournament
Teams of cyclists use a mallet to pass a ball and score without setting a foot down. Bike Polo was a demonstration sport at the 1908 Olympics. Now, messengers have helped re-vitalize the sport with their own brand of hard-court bike polo that is taking the world by storm.

Border Warning! Anyone who’s passing through or into the U.S. by air must have a valid passport – even U.S. citizens returning home. At the moment, passports aren’t required for ground travel, but they’re a good idea. Canadian and American passport authorities are backed up, so plan ahead!
